Meet the Team...
We thought you might like to know what the people on the end of the phone look like, at one of the Souths best Venue Finding Agencies and a little bit about them. Hopefully we'll get to meet you face-to-face at a client event or event Organiser Fam Trips sooner or later, but until then...
Diane Slater, Director
Diane founded the company in 1992, and is married with two children. When she's not working, she enjoys the odd visit to the gym and staying in some great hotels. A tough job but some one has to do it! Something not many people know is that her daughter, Karenza was named after Carenza from Time Team by Diane's husband. In her “spare” time, Diane helps in the fund raising side of local charities and is involved with the school PTA, Cubs and Guides. In May 2009 Diane successfully completed the Moon Walk – a grueling 26 mile power walk, at night in London in aid of Breast Cancer!
Rebecca Perkins, Operations Director
Rebecca joined Right Location in November 2005 after relocating back to her roots from Yorkshire where she headed up the conference department at an Agricultural College in York. She got married in September 2009 and her new husband is also in the events industry you’d think they’d have the whole thing sewn up…….not exactly the case! Rebecca is never happier than when she’s camping in Croyde, North Devon with her tent and surf board and sometimes bike or kayak. She loves the great outdoors and tries to get away camping whenever she can.
Lucy Humby, Key Account Manager
Lucy is the newest addition to the venue finding agencies team and has been with the company since October 2008. She’s smiley, outgoing and funky and enjoys horse riding, going to see TV shows being filmed, going to the gym and eating out with friends. (Well, those are her conservative hobbies. She also has a wild streak…..extreme sports are her thing really!) She's been skydiving and done dry bobsleigh runs, hydro zorbing, Mini Cooper rally driving and has abseiled down a 21-storey block of flats!
Claire Wilkinson, Conference Consultant
Claire has been with Right Location for 6 years and is married with two girls. Claire is also known as “Brown Owl” for the local Brownie pack and is always picking our brains for new activities to do with them! A keen tennis player herself, not many people know that Claire’s brother-in-law, Chris Wilkinson, is the professional tennis player who has played at Wimbledon.
Helen Crotty, Conference Consultant
Helen has been with the company since March 2006, and has had a varied career which started in catering at the age of 13…is that legal? Helen claims she doesn't have time for any hobbies as she's got 3 girls and a boy (her husband!) to look after.
Louise Wheeldon, Sales Co-Ordinator
Louise has worked for Right Location venue finding agency since March 2003, and lives with her partner and her two children. You can often find Louise at Fratton Park, cheering on Portsmouth Football Club. Louise works for Right Location part-time and has another part time job with Homestart, an association which gives support and advice to struggling families.
Staff Update
Many of you will remember Katrin Rogers, who left to have a baby. Oliver was born in September 2007, and Baby ‘Number Two’, Elizabeth was born in spring 2009.
