Conference Room Layout and Design
Choosing the most suitable Conference Room Layout and Design for your event can be a crucial decision. Consider the focus of your event: Do you want the attendees to network, watch a presentation, work in groups or engage in a round table discussion?
Below are some examples of common room layouts to help you decide which would work best.
Banqueting Style Well suited to formal lunches, dinners and awards ceremonies. 5ft round tables seat up to 10 persons and 6ft round tables seat up to 12 persons.
Boardroom Style Works well for board meetings, AGMs and discussion forums where all people around the table are required to be involved in the discussion. A PA system may be useful for larger groups to make sure everyone around the table can hear!
Cabaret Style Works well for presentations, seminars and training events of any size as delegates can network or engage in group discussions and have a working space. Some venues offer half-moon tables for maximum use of space in the meeting rooms.
Classroom Style Suitable for training, learning and assessment events and presentations as the delegates have a working space for course materials and notes.
Theatre Style Ideal for lecture-style events or conferences where delegates don't need a working space. Some venues and auditoriums offer seating with a fold-down tablet to enable delegates to make notes comfortably.
U-Shape or Horseshoe Style Works well for smaller learning and training events, presentations and seminars as delegates have a working space and can speak easily to everyone in the room.
