This Month: Spotlight on........The Oakley Court, Windsor
Originally built in 1859 in the style of a French Chateau, the Oakley Court is a gothic-style mansion country house hotel in the outskirts of Windsor, set in over 35 acres of landscape gardens and manicured lawns on a secluded stretch of the banks of the River Thames. The Oakley Court is fifteen minutes from Heathrow Airport and forty minutes from London, making it easily accessible from any location.
Believed to be used as the English Headquarters of the French Resistance during World War II, and more recently the setting for well loved films such as the Rocky Horror Picture Show, St Trinian's and many Hammer House of Horror film productions including Dracula, the Oakley Court offers a wide range of flexible options for corporate events from a small board meeting for 5 people to large scale teambuilding activities, conferences, family fun days or awards ceremonies for up to 500 people.
Facilities include 118 bedrooms, golf course, tennis courts, spa, fine dining restaurant, an outdoor terrace and boating facilities. A dedicated conference centre comprises of a wide range of flexible spaces including 6 boardrooms, the Windsor Suite and Foyer which can accommodate up to 200 guests, Conservatory and Bar, Oakleaf Lounge, the Sitting Room and Library which date back to 1859 and are the oldest original rooms in the house. Many original features such as ornate ceilings, oak wood flooring and gothic window panes still remain, making this area very popular for private dining.
The Boathouse, a private meeting space accommodating up to 30 persons set away from the main house on the banks of the river is ideally suited to events where a degree of privacy is required.
The Walled Garden, a spacious (1,863 sq.m) grassed area within the grounds of the venue is ideal for a marquee, teambuilding activities or a large scale event for up to 500 guests, as it has its own kitchen facilities, toilets and electrical supply.
Also located within the Walled Garden are tennis courts and a helicopter landing pad.

We think that the Oakley Court would be an ideal location for a management away day event where the guests are looking for a high-end facility in an amazing location with great outdoor space. The grounds at this venue are perfect for outdoor teambuilding events and would also easily accommodate much larger groups.
If you’re looking for a secluded, exclusive meeting or conference space, The Boathouse is an unusual, contemporary conference suite accommodating up to 30 delegates, tucked away from the main house on the banks of the River Thames. French doors open onto a private terrace which overlooks the river, allowing delegates to break in a different setting whilst maintaining a sense of privacy.
